No bake oatmeal bars are great for treats, but since they’re primarily made of whole grains, they’re also great for snacking. Our favorite breakfast bar is plain Oatmeal Bar, but these bars could also be eaten for breakfast. You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Old Fashioned rolled oats: Not steel cut or instant oats here – just plain, old oats.
  • Peanut butter: We prefer natural peanut butter without added sugar or salt. However, you can select your favorite brand.

  • Cinnamon: Cinnamon gives foods a subtle flavor.
  • Dark chocolate: It doesn’t take much — just a little dark chocolate will do!

Vegan no-bake oatmeal bars

Would you prefer vegan peanut butter oatmeal bars instead? Honey plays an important role in creating this recipe’s nuanced, warming flavor and sticky texture. Maple syrup is commonly used as a vegan sweetener, but it has a different texture and sweetness here.
